The Culture@Work Project, initiated by the Lisbon Consortium and co-funded by the Culture Programme of the European Union, aims to develop an international platform for the circulation of artistic work and for the collaborative training of professionals in the cultural sector. It wishes to:

  • Deepen transnational perspectives by fostering a Europe-wide trans-sectorial exchange between professionals in the cultural sector and training programs in the arts;
  • promote an intellectual and artistic exchange between established and upcoming artists;
  • create a platform that will promote practice-based strategies in academia and mainstream best practices in collaborative, interdisciplinary work.

It brings together three stakeholders in the field:

  • The School of Human Sciences at the Catholic University of Portugal and its collaborative M.A. and PhD Program in Culture Studies (The Lisbon Consortium);
  • The Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA);
  • The Department of Arts and Cultural Studies at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
